London born big man Charles Yassi-Pepin joins the Plymouth City Patriots for the British basketball league season.

Charles started his basketball journey Ealing College before taking his talents to EABL powerhouse Barking Abbey in 2015. At the age of 18 Charles played 25 games NBL1 side Kent Crusaders averaging 14 minutes per game averaging 4pts and 5reb per game in a league stacked with talent. At the age of 19 Charles joined junior college side Laramie County before heading to the Spanish 4th division, the 6’8 big man signed his first contract with Jaguarzo before two seasons in Lanzarote. Over the summer Charles featured in the Hoopsfix Pro Am with fellow Patriots Elvisi Dusha, Jules Dang-Akodo and Will White.

Head Coach Paul James had this to say on Patriots latest signing -

We are delighted to welcome Charles to the Patriots, he has shown a great deal of promise over the last week at training and fits in well with the group we already have. We hope to have Charles available for this Fridays season opener but this will be dependant on league clearance, which is out of our hands at this moment.
