The Patriots have announced their newest signing, Jawaun Daniels, hailing from Brooklyn, New York. He comes to Plymouth as a rookie, having played three seasons in the NCAA at Division One level for the Prairie View A&M, where last season he led the team in scoring and rebounds, with over 15 points and six rebounds per game. He was crowned SWAC
First Team All Conference and received multiple player of the week awards in the division. Coach Paul James was expected at his newest recruit, saying "He'll add a new perspective to the team, and allow us to play in different ways and I'm really excited to get him here and get him into training with the rest of the guys."
He joins the Patriots and former teammate in college, Markedric Bell, already a fan favourite. Daniels will have a long wait before being able to suite up for the Patriots, as their next game in away to Caledonia Gladiators, based in Glasgow. The Patriots now have a string of road games without any games at Pavilions until February 3rd and a South West Derby clash against the Bristol Flyers.
