Ralph Bissainthe is now a Patriot

The Plymouth City Patriots have announced a new signing, only days away from the BBL signings deadline.

Ralph Bissainthe from North Miami, Florida is set to be a Plymouth City Patriot for the remainder of the season and the young forward has plenty of potential to aid the teams drive for the playoffs. Bissainthe, who stands at 6" 7' played in the prestigious NCAA Division One for both Illinois-Chicago and Central Michigan, the latter of which he worked his way into the starting lineup for his senior year.

After college and at the start of the 2022 season, Bissainthe headed straight for his first professional contract in Sweden and the Basketligan, the country's premier division that has featured some top level BBL players of the past such as Ryhs Carter and Justin Robinson. Bissainthe started ten of thirteen games and made valuable contributions to his team, KFUM Nassjo Basket, one of the top teams in the division.

Coach Paul James was upbeat about his new addition, saying "We're looking forward to him joining the squad. He gives us a bit more size and strength, and adds to our rotations nicely."

Bissainthe will be added to the squad after the unfortunate departure of Markedric Bell, a true fan favourite, set to leave Plymouth for personal reasons. The club has announced on social media that as a family club they feel it right to release the young star, given the circumstances, but wish him all the best for the future.
