Familiar faces to basketball fans, Irene, Paul and Tony Smith have stepped down from their role volunteering for the club.
Everyone at Plymouth City Patriots would like to thank Irene, Paul and Tony for their hard work and dedication to basketball in Plymouth.
Their support has been valuable to the success on not only game days, but with all the work they have done behind the scenes.
Paul started in basketball when he was 12 years old, he has played in the National League and was a successful coach, taking his Under 14's to the Final 8 in the country. He has also been a referee and it was while doing this that Paul started volunteering.
Irene and Tony started volunteering 25 years ago, supporting top-flight basketball in Plymouth every year from 1998, including the Covid season where they were present at every game. They have successfully looked after the amazing team of volunteers and worked so hard behind the scenes.
