Will Hopper set to strengthen the Patriots coaching team.
The club is delighted to announce that Will Hopper will be joining the Patriots backroom staff for the upcoming season and arrives with a very impressive CV.
Will is a level 3 Basketball England coach and previously played pro in Malta, Denmark, Cambodia and Ireland before starting his coaching journey at Leeds City College where he became the AOC Yorkshire league champions in the 2018/2019 season.
From 2019 to 2022 Will was selected as head coach for the girls Welsh national team at U13,U14 and the U16s who featured in the Tri Nations tournament.
Most recently Will has been working with Sheffield college as the head coach for the WEABL team and received Coach of the year for his work In the 2021/2022 season whilst being part of the Basketball England Aspire program.
On joining the Patriots new addition Will steps into the role of U16s and U18s development coach, leading the BUCS ladies university team whilst also working alongside current women’s coach Pete Wilson for the National League campaign in 2023/24.
We are delighted to welcome Will to the Patriots and look forward to working with him to deliver some great coaching as part of our youth pathway.
It may have seemed like a quiet period regarding Patriots news but don't worry the wheels are certainly in motion. We have lots of exciting news on the horizon.
